The Busy Bar
The Busy Bar is fixed to a surface, dispenses treats and has the ability to change direction to keep the horse from becoming bored. It has a curved bar that can be used as a dispenser for treat wheels and salt rocks at the easiest level, and for more of a challenge, add the Busy Bar Dispensing Wheel. Available in regular and mini sizes (perfect for smaller stalls or trailers!)
Why was the Busy Bar Created? Read The Story Here!
They say necessity is the mother of all invention. We credit Sundance, a 2 year old colt, with the invention of the Busy Bar. Sundance had determined that the world was his playground, and no puzzle was too hard for him. He was also skilled at dismantling fence posts and bypassing electric fence to visit his horse friends.
Luckily his "habit" wasn't as destructive as other stories we'd heard, of chewers, kickers, destroyers of stalls . . . face it, horses get bored. We knew our need was also the need of many other horse owners.
We tried many of the Equine toys currently on the market. Models that were fixed to a post or stall were quickly played with, promptly figured out and then ignored. We found that his favorite toys were ones that dispensed a treat and rolled on the ground. Affectionately called his "binky", Sundance would become disappointed when his toy would roll under a fence or out of reach, which resulted in more fencing becoming destroyed as he attempted to retreive his toy.
We quickly realized that there was nothing on the market that engaged Sundance without becoming a problem iteself. Thus, the Busy Bar was born.
